A one-day course giving you an understanding of radar as an aid to navigation and collision avoidance. Radar is probably the most versatile of all electronic navigation aids,but the best results are only obtained when you know how to use all the functions correctly. The IRPCS state that if you have a radar, you must know how to use it.
During COVID-19, we are able to deliver the fully certificated 1-day Radar course via webinar, numbers are kept low to allow as much interactivity of the participants. The cost is £95 and you can book through our website or by contacting us.

Courses are non-residential so accommodation is required in one of the many hotels or guest houses near the Centre. We can provide a list of recommendations.
We can combine the 1-day RYA Radar course with a second day afloat on our Advanced Radar course on our motorboat taking your radar usage and understanding to the next level. On the water we put the skills into practice and learn how to deal with practical issues afloat. The second day consolidates your theory knowledge and puts it into practice so you can use your radar confidently.
