The cost of our STCW Basic Training package has just come down in price to £300, save money by booking all your STCW Basic Training elements in one go.
Who needs STCW basic training? Crew working on vessels over 24m in length, all MCA certificates of competence require basic training as a minimum and crew of commercial vessels under 24m often find it useful.
What is STCW basic training? Historically it encompasses 4 elements, a 5th Security course element is sometimes included since it became mandatory for crew on vessels covered by the ISPS code.
The Elements are:
Personal Survival Techniques – 1 day, £110
Elementary First Aid – 1 day, £110
Personal Safety & Social Responsibilities – 1/2 day, £80
Proficiency in Security Awareness – 1/2 day, £80 or £120 for both PSSR and PSA
Fire Prevention & Fire Fighting – 2 days, £517.20
Why is the price only £300 for the package? All the elements except for the Fire Fighting are run in house by SeaRegs Training. The cost of these elements if booked separately would be £340 however if they are booked together we’ve reduced the price to just £300.
The Fire course is through Devon and Somerset Fire Service, and is payable directly to the Fire Service, we can help reserve a place for you and our monthly programme of STCW Basic Training has been set with the Fire Service to allow the elements to take place on consecutive days.
