The MCA Approved Engine course Part 1 or AEC1 is a 30 hour, 4 day course and is a step up from the RYA 1 day Diesel Engine course. The objective of the course is to provide a basic theoretical knowledge and some practical hands on experience of diesel engines and systems. To make the course as practical as possible we use a number of engines and sections of engines which can be stripped to their component parts and hopefully put back together again.

This is the first part of the AEC qualification, the second being the 5x day AEC2 which SeaRegs now has MCA Approval to run. Please check our course dates for availability.
