
Under the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC) Minimum Requirements Regulations all ships’ cooks and other persons processing food in the galley are to be suitably qualified in food hygiene or food safety in Catering.
Level 2 is the minimum acceptable level for catering staff and persons processing food in the galley. There are no online courses recognised as meeting the assessment criteria and learning outcomes set out in MSN 1846.
