Bacon, eggs & boat handling

Sun hats & smiles all round on Saturday 1^st October at the MDL Queen Anne’s Battery Marina Ladies day.

This is the second event to be held at the Plymouth marina as part of the RYA’s Active Marina initiative. Feedback from the marina berth holders after the successful event held earlier this summer led to the organisation of a day specifically aimed at ladies.

Morning and afternoon boat handling sessions were allocated for both motor and sail boats starting with a bite size chunk of boat handling theory over breakfast, followed by some reversing, coming alongside and general boat handling in the sunshine. Many thanks to the ladies who made it all possible and we look forward to seeing them again.

The instructors for both events were Simon Jinks and James Bremridge. Thanks to Tim Cross,  RYA Regional Club coach for organising the event and for the great video once again.
