A 1-day hands-on practical workshop based course, aimed at providing essential knowledge and developing skills in essential boat maintenance on board - both sailing yachts and motorboats. After completing this course you will have a better understanding of how essential serviceable systems work and be able to perform tasks to assist with keeping the boat running.

Course Content
- Pumps – overview of how they work and servicing toilet pumps and bilge pumps
- Winches - stripping down and servicing
- Multimeters - how to use multimeters to check faults
- Ropework - types of ropes and qualities
- Splicing - eye splice
- Whipping - ways to whip the ends of ropes
- Shackles - different types and mousing
