5 days. (4 +1 for exam) There is no fixed syllabus for this course and we try to work on areas that you need to work on and that the examiners tend to look at during the exam. We go through usual preparation subjects such as radar, boat handling, day and night pilotage, passage making, meteorology, IRPCS, engines, emergencies and using tides.

There is an additional exam fee payable to the RYA, which is not included in our course price. The exam fee is only payable directly to the RYA, at the time of the exam.

Accommodation is not included on our motor courses, please ensure you have somewhere to stay nearby if not local. We can provide some suggestions if that would be helpful.
