The Record of Seafarers Employed on the Ship section records all the seafarers employed on the vessel.

There are four columns to fill in and all entries would be made by the Master.

Reference number in List of Crew – The List of Crew (see download) is the document that a each seafarer signs when joining the ship.
The reference number in the required in the 1st column is the consecutive number written in the List of Crew.
If a seafarer leaves the ship and joins again, they should be entered again with their new number from the List of Crew.
Therefore a seafarer may appear a few times in this column with a different number.

If entry made in narrative section, give relevant page – The narrative section of the logbook lists notable occurences onboard. If an entry has been made about the seafarer in the narrative log (disciplinary, promotion, investigation, incident etc.), the page in the narrative log should be noted in this column. Multiple page numbers would be seperated by a comma.
